Like other leading Russian and world universities, PSLU continually expands the number of postgraduate students working on Master and PhD degrees. PSLU offers 38 innovative MA courses for 28 programs of training today: "Linguistics"; "Fundamental and Applied linguistics"; "Intellectual systems in Humanities"; "Philosophy"; "Theology"; "Sport"; "Socio-Cultural activity"; "Applied Computer Science", "Quality Management"; "Innovatics", "Psychology"; "Conflictology"; "Economics"; "Management"; "Personnel Management"; " Government & Public Administration"; "Business IT"; "Finance and Credit"; "Social work"; "Law"; "Oriental and African Studies"; "International Relations"; "Advertizing and Public Relations"; "Journalism"; "Tourism"; "Hospitality Business"; "Pedagogical Education"; "Psycho- Pedagogical Education".
The postgraduate study of PSLU offers 25 scientific specialties, doctoral study offers six. About 300 graduate students, doctoral candidates and external PhD students are annually pursue these programs.
PSLU Facilities comprise ten buildings conforming to the most modern requirements, five student dormitories, conference and lecture halls, technically equipped classrooms and laboratories, up-to-date language laboratories, multimedia halls, a computerized listening laboratory, a TV studio and press center, gyms, seaside and mountain holiday camps.
All conditions for successful study have been created in PSLU. The richest library satisfies the most classic informative requirements. Its fund makes more than 730 thousand books, including educational, scientific and reference authentic books in foreign languages.
Thanks to the Center of Information and Educational Technologies innovative tutorials have become an integral part of the educational and scientific processes at the University: multimedia and Internet classes, satellite systems, live video and Internet broadcastings, teleconferences, electronic educational environment of the university EDU.PGLU.RU. Students study information technologies in the 34 educational multimedia computer classrooms. Students can use Internet classes and satellite television allowing them to record any programs from more than 100 channels in 30 languages. Integration of the TV video computer equipment allows them to create integrated media communicative space.
Almost for a quarter of a century the university’s History Museum has united all employees, lecturers and students who are interested in historical research and wish to learn more about the history of the university, town, region, and to collect its expositions and to organize excursions for students and guests of PSLU.
