On July 20^th 2014 Kislovodsk became home to the North Caucasus Federal District Open Karate Championship. That day the gymnasium hall of Kislovodsk Institute of Humanities and Technology brought together sportsmen both novices and the renowned from all around the North Caucasus and far beyond. It is not the first time for such competitions being held here. It has already become a good tradition gathering more and more sportsmen from the South of Russia. It is remarkable that sportsmen from the Chechen Republic took part in this Championship.

The event attracted big interest among sportsmen and coaches as the All-Russian Championship was awaiting the winners of this tournament. And the prestigious World Championship that will be held in the German city of Bremen this autumn is just round the corner.

The sports holiday collected many guests and spectators wishing to enjoy a bright performance of one of the most beautiful sports. Owing to the organizers and accurate and well-coordinated work of referee’s board the event went interesting and intensive. They are:

-            president of the NCFD Karate Federation Markin Sergei Gennadievich;

-            main coach of the Russian karate team, Honoured coach of the RF Murtazaliev Omar Dzhavievich;

-            senior coach of the Russian karate team, Honoured coach of the RF, president of the non-governmental organization “The Karate-do Federation of RSO-Alania” Savhalov Alan Georgievich;

-           member of the Russian Karate Federation panel, president of the Karate Federation of Stavropol krai Davyidov Alexander Leonidovich and others.
